Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
Have I dragged them in? I thought they were the subject of this thread? Mike Garlick didn't want to spend the money in the club's bank account on any new players in the summer of 2020. Sean Dyche wanted to hold onto James Tarkowski and let him run down his contract. If Mike Garlick wasn't looking t...

Performance Result Line-up Normally I'd have result first but given we're already down I just want to see improvement, a clear direction, and learning from previous mistakes. Not bothered who starts as long as they preform, but I will be bothered if the same players keep playing whilst not performing.

Equally, missing saying that most of that money was already committed to pay wages doesn't "fabricate" a strong argument that it was all borrowed by new owners to but the club. Re: Everton points deduction reduced
Nonsense. We are getting relegated because we had to be stripped to the bone in May 2022 because of Everton and the Premier League, and even investing as much money as we could we couldn’t close the gap that arose because of that initial behaviour. Evidence - Forest without a points deduction (yet)...

The accounts do show approx £80m in the bank, but that includes are large chunk of the Premier League tv money which was already committed to pay wages. Something less than £40m was borrowed by ALK to help them pay for shares bought from previous directors. Undoubtedly. But to say we "didn't have a...

We didn't have any money. You're right that we didn't have debt, but Garlick would have had to create debt to 'gamble' on staying up. Relegation gave us the opportunity to invest in a lot of players in the 3-10 million range. Some will pay off, some won't, but I'm confident we'll be in credit. If w...

Yes I have. Beyer is notably rubbish but last year we were paying Tella, Maatsen and THB somewhere between £10-£15k pw. £25k is more Prem wages I think, not Championship. The lad has got some technical ability but he's one of the most ineffective footballers I've seen for us. Needs to be playing for a team that dominates sides and that isn't us at this level.
