The 12 week injury we experienced at the start if the year cost us a top 6 place. I think we need 2 or 3 strong signings and then it's all about team spirit and determination. It's a very sad sight. I went to London this weekend and saw people in their sleeping bags everywhere. One older guy did ask for money and I gave him a few pound coins. Was good to see him immediately go buy a hot drink so let's not stereotype them all as alcoholics and druggies.

Whatever it cost (I’m not a Royalist) it sold the best of Britain around the World. A huge amount of good PR has been achieved especially with the United States. I think we can safely assume the investment will be returned with increased tourism and trade.

Taking food & drink in

On Sunday, my bag was searched and I was told I couldn't take a can of pop into the ground. Not being thirsty at that moment it went in the bin. But I didn't buy food or drink inside the ground so it all seemed a bit petty. Is that normal practice?

The final result was disappointing. The game had been a mixed bag....
