Re: Jay Rod v Wood v Barnes
Just watched MOTD highlights of the game which appear to have shown the key events of the game. They didn’t show a single chance for Chris Wood, never mind 3 clear chances. Really, not 1 single chance? Within seconds of the game starring on MOTD Wood doesn’t challenge Pickford and lets him catch it...

Re: Pieters or Taylor?
With Ward leaving I never thought there would be a decision to be made, but well done Pieters.
Think we almost have a Lowton/ Bardsley situation at left back. If we need to scrap and fight we have Pieters and Bardsley. If we need to attack and create we have Lowton and Taylor - a great situation.

You strike me as a liar who’s been caught out, boy. Brilliant! As above I must be wrong and watched a different game today. As you say he didn’t have 3 clear chances on goal I must of made it up. Re: Jay Rod v Wood v Barnes
Stop muddying the waters. Nobody said Wood has been on fire this season. You said he had three clear chances to score today. You made that up so I called you out on it. You’ve had chances to back up your claim but have chosen not to, because you can’t back up something that isn’t true. No big deal ...

Re: Jay Rod v Wood v Barnes
I’ve got it all wrong then Wood has been on fire this season and especially today, Pickford will be having nightmares tonight about his performance. If the ball falls to Wood, consider it scored. On the other hand Hendrik who has played less than half the minutes than Wood has scored 2 goals from mi...

Well it should be quite easy for you to describe three of the four chances then? Unless you’re lying. I don’t lie. What more do you need, he had the keeper to beat and didn’t. 4 breaks were wasted today as he was offside. See previous post, at the start of the season Barnes led the line and we were...

For a fair part of the game I did think Delph was running things. Then I looked at Westwood and he was doing the same.
He is fast becoming one of my favourite players, seems to be in the middle of every thing and every move we make.

Was Cork injured? We did a format change to 4-3-3. Seriously we did. At 1-1, I’m sure it was McNeil who went in the middle with Westwood. Not easy to see for a few minutes due to the dicks standing in front of me. I also saw us use Barnes on the wing. Jay Rod, not only scoring, did he go after Goula...

With westwood its a bit like the Arfield case. Villa fans don’t rate him, Dyche saw potential and turned him into a key player for us.

In terms of parking for El Clario my villa supporting colleague has recommended £5 parking on a field off Victoria road. Which gets you back on the A38 quickly after the game. 10-15min walk to the ground

Re: Norwich over passing at goal kicks
It’s the fashion right now. Although unless you have a £300m back 5 it is going to backfire.
I would of allowed them to do it on every goal kick rather than trying to get to tight to the defence - there was a mistake waiting to happen.
Norfolk Chance we would be doing that.

Re: RATE THE REF - David Coote v Norwich city
Equally poor for both teams but that doesn’t make it right.
Barnes looked a clear penalty, the ref was actually pretending he couldn’t see Barnes on the floor holding his head.
Finally told the Norwich player to take the throw in from the right place, then just let him take it anyway.
Really poor.
