I think we won 1-0 at Chesterfield with a Peter Mumby winner.
Mansfield was a bit lively!!
Remember at York getting some ear ache from some local lads who ran off when a few older Clarets turned up!

Re: when we signed Gazza from Everton
Thought his first game was midweek v Bradford and he was ok, when we played Sheff U and Wolves they put him under pressure in possession and he was hopeless. Dispossessed in bad positions, after that he was probably only good when the ball wasn't moving.

On Saturday there was a block of seats towards the JM end of the JHL which was full about 20 minutes before KO. They looked fairly young so would guess a community initiative. CT reported Saturday was the highest home fans attendance so maybe tickets were given away as it was Southampton. It wouldn'...

Those 1st halves against Sheffield U and Wolves and the 2 free kicks against Cov when we missed out on the play offs by a goal are the main memories after the euphoria of him signing.

Do some we think should beat everyone at home regardless of the opposition?
Did Southampton bring a £14m player off the bench?
Did they have a few internationals? Is there budget smaller than ours?
Do they have the spine of the team out injured?

If we lose or draw it will simply be not good enough for the deluded brigade. There will be the lack of patience from some in the JHU, get it forward ffs when we keep possession and then groaning if we play a long ball. Expect the usual embarrassing tirade on social media from the attention seekers....

Thought it was a penalty and also thought Rochdale could have had a penalty. There was enough "contact " , a coming together according to Danny Murphy. More genuine contact than the Ramsey pen perhaps going down naturally or he plays for Rochdale means it's a coming together.
