Re: Car insurance question
Thanks Squidgy. I've found out a bit more. There is a law around "Continuous Insurance Enforcement" which is not relevant if the car has a SORN otherwise it does apply. But, it does seem that the worst she'd get is an insurance advisory letter if she was very unlucky. From the AA: "The Motor Insuran...

Re: Car insurance question
Is it worth the hassle to save £50? What if the car DID get stolen/vandalised/went up in smoke etc? Unlikely but also not worth the risk/hassle etc IMO. Maybe for some people but I live in a quiet cut-de-sac and we don't get crime around here, and if there is they are on camera. £50 to my daughter ...

Car insurance question
Hi. I got quotes a few weeks ago for my daughter's car insurance and bought a policy. Stupidly I got the start date wrong, asking for 22/12 instead of 21/12. She called to get the date change but they say prices have gone up and it would cost £50 extra. I've checked elsewhere and they've gone up by ...

I told my wife about the club president punching the ref and she asked if I could imagine Alan Pace running onto the pitch and doing that. More like British Bulldog I suggested with Pace hand in hand with his wife and daughter !

I’m not sure how people can be effectively banned. New email addresses take seconds to create. You could go for the IP address but a VPN would get around that.

It’s expensive for these companies to lose customers. They call it “churn”. When I worked at NTL the business claimed that each customer lost costs them £800. So always try and get a better deal

Hi Mick. Go to a comparison site like Uswitch and it will give you all your options for your address. You can then just transfer the lot or go to Sky saying that you’ve found a better deal. They are likely to give you a better deal if you’ve shown that you know what price you can get elsewhere. Also...

For Virgin call and say you can’t afford it. Just stick with it. They may offer you a better deal but if not just give notice. If they don’t contact you nearer the end date with a better deal then you could just say that you want to stay. Nothing lost For others it’s always worth comparing prices. S...

I never understand it when people say they don’t want to win that much money. You can do so much good with it. Keep enough to see you comfortably through life, help those close to you, and give the rest causes/people who really need it eg foodbanks

Just thought I’d mention Waze as an alternative to Google Maps. It gets updated by users and is therefore very useful. Yesterday it warned me of a pothole on a country road and thanks to Waze I was looking out for it and avoided it. You also get reports of police, accidents, traffic ahead. https://w...

I love Vancouver. 3 nights is not much ! If you can, take a sea plane trip to Victoria (Vancouver Island) for the day. You can get whale seeing trips from the same harbour that the plane lands. Re: Brentford v Burnley match thread.
Trafford is not the problem. He made some good saves (10 shots on target) First goal he could have perhaps done better but not the 2nd and third. The problem was sloppiness and bad decisions. For the next game I’d like to see Cork, Rodriguez, and Brownhill starting to add more experience. Shoot when...

I can also recommend Taormina and Siracusa in Sicily. There is a train between the two places. We spent a few days in each.

Polignano a Mare, just south of Bari has a stunning beach and loads of restaurants. Monopoly a bit further south is very pretty but much smaller. See the UNESCO village https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/787/ full of white Trulli and also historic Leccce

So, 2nd half was poor from Burnley, but I thought we had them until the own goal and penalty. Then we had to chase the match and Chelsea could pick us off. I think maybe put in some experience like Cork, and pity we didn't take Townsend!
