Runcorn v Burnley FAC 1981
Come across the results from the same day in 1981 and 1987 on social media. Burnley drew 0-0 with Runcorn in the FAC, Burnley won the replay a few days later. Was only 9 at the time so have vague memories of it, the crowd given was 5,500 which made me think was the replay at Turf Moor? Might be gett...

Forgot we had a goal disallowed. Don’t remember being kept back after the game it was straight out and a quiet walk through Moss Side back to Chorlton Street! Went with my brother and a mate’s girlfriend who was a City fan (had a spare ticket) It was scary leaving the ground, kept in for ages, I think there was a tannoy announcement saying you should stay in the ground for your own safety. Eventually we left the ground to see the police keeping the locals...

Good solid player and hard as nails. I think we were playing Fulham in the cup and Boa Morte left one on him, not long later when Boa Morte got the ball Big Mitch sorted him out good and proper, you could hear the Fulham player’s scream in the JHU. Had a look through the counties results, Droylsden played their first competitive game since 2000 which had a crowd of 955. The club folded during the first lockdown. I recall Stan being annoyed at Warnock when he reported wore a Sheffield United tie to work at Bury and thought that might have been the spark. I think there's a lot of behind the scenes trouble at most non league clubs. When clubs are run by volunteers and players have agents, dragging every last penny out, it's not a good mix. That certainly won’t be the case at Rammy, cannot for a moment think that the chairman would entertain an agent....

Born in Bury, still live in Bury. Was taken to my first game aged 5 in 1977. My parents moved from Southport to Bury in the 60s and I believe my dad started following the Clarets as they were the top local side and the next door neighbour was an avid Claret.

Muric for me. He had a dreadful time at Forest last season and started very shakily for ourselves. He was trying too hard to "force" his confidence and over-complicating things. As the season progressed and we got better at our passing game, he simplified a lot of what he did and we tightened up. A...

Referee was very inconsistent with his use of the yellow card. Maatsen, not always been a fan of him, seen a 4. Really? A few poor passes , yes. Boro’s only attacking option was to hit long balls in his direction, he won most of them, stood up for himself well.

From the TV, there were a few borderline yellow card fouls by Sunderland players in the first half on Tella, Zaroury and Benson, just a talking to. Cullen doesn’t seem to commit a foul, yellow card. Doesn’t seem to be a ref that allows a game to have a decent tempo.
