Some interesting away games in this season with large followings. This did seem to attract some attention from the locals or in Barnet's case the Met Police and that idiot on a horse who could quite easily have crushed a number of people. Mansfield was a bit lively on Quarry Lane outside and the who...

See that Mark Hughes has had a big impact on the Saints. Hanging on in this game.

Pickford looks very indecisive at the moment. Stuck to his line for the Barnes goal and yesterday didn't come for a cross. Probably lacks the physical presence too. Some however will love his wacky kicking of the ball, not always sure about that technique. Looks good when it comes off but I don't it...

Thought many were sent up to Sedbergh if they were decent at rugger or cricket on scholarships.
I had the misfortune to go to a fee paying school and if you were no good at football they were sent off to play rugger.

Re: ARTICLE: Mark Hughes appointed at Southampton
Hughes comments post our game with Stoke in December really annoyed me.
They are just a long ball team (didn't mention their 6ft 7" forward) and it's dropped for the lad and he's just hit it and it's gone in.
I hope he plays his part in 2 clubs going down. Classless tool.

Always liked Marney from day one, took a while for some to warm to him as he was a Laws signing but he always brought plenty to the table. Great in the tackle and also at driving us forward especially late in the games when we were on the back foot. Played a massive role in our promotions and in his...

I think our wage bill will be very hefty this year with a lot of bonuses being paid. I wouldn't be surprised if some players are approaching 100% bonuses on their basic wage with the way this season has gone. Would this be in line though with the final league position payment / bonus? If we were to...

Like Notts said you would be spoilt for choice if you were picking from the 80's, so I chose a recent one. Luckily for us we only really throw one of them sorts of performances per season (West Brom last season, Swansea this). Another recent-ish one was Doncaster away in Coyle's season. Grezza's wo...

His owner lives round our way in Bury and know a few who have backed it quite heavily.
Apologies if I've spelt the name wrong, the owner has a vacuum pouch company or something along those lines.

The worry for these teams is that if they are relegated is what happens next. Look at Sunderland, Bolton and Birmingham all struggling at the wrong end of the championship and then a step further Wigan and them down the road in league 1. Makes our achievement of going straight back up look more of a...

Coventry (a) under Stan when we lost 4-0. We were dreadful, in a season where we got dry humped on a fairly regular basis and still stayed up. That was one that came to mind. Ward's departure from Burnley coincided with a slump in form.
Should have got a play off spot that season. Remember going to Brentford and Walsall and getting a couple of 3-1 away wins, after that we went downhill.
