Pickford looks very indecisive at the moment. Stuck to his line for the Barnes goal and yesterday didn't come for a cross. Probably lacks the physical presence too. Thought many were sent up to Sedbergh if they were decent at rugger or cricket on scholarships.

I had the misfortune to go to a fee paying school and if you were no good at football they were sent off to play rugger.

My mate told me he had a testimonial for Chorley years ago, like it's mentioned above its nothing to do with the club. He had his on an evening and the club charged him for use of the floodlights and he actually lost money!!

Hughes comments post our game with Stoke in December really annoyed me.

They are just a long ball team (didn't mention their 6ft 7" forward) and it's dropped for the lad and he's just hit it and it's gone in.

I hope he plays his part in 2 clubs going down. Classless tool.

I think our wage bill will be very hefty this year with a lot of bonuses being paid. His owner lives round our way in Bury and know a few who have backed it quite heavily.

The worry for these teams is that if they are relegated is what happens next. Look at Sunderland, Bolton and Birmingham all struggling at the wrong end of the championship and then a step further Wigan and them down the road in league 1. Ward's departure from Burnley coincided with a slump in form.

Should have got a play off spot that season. Remember going to Brentford and Walsall and getting a couple of 3-1 away wins, after that we went downhill.

Dyche wouldn't deck any player, he would psychologically deck them though.

Reading a book called on the brink atm, quality read, in the book Joe Royle says how recruitment then management are the most important things. Coaching comes 3rd.

Sat on the bee hole (there wasn't that many so view unaffected) to watch the Torquay game. Got there late, missed a goal or maybe 2 and left early to play cricket. Couldn't see much on the screen due to the sun. On reflection I wish I hadn't bothered!!

Just watched the you tube clip of Burnley v Wrexham 1993 posted on another thread.

You don't see the JH emptying on to the JM with 5 minutes left to get a quick dart anymore.
