Was at Ayresome Park in early Eighties when we won 4-1. Bottles and bricks came in our end as we were kept in after game finished. I know all clubs have a " lunatic fringe ", but Boro do have a long history. I was there, lively day on and off the pitch! Unless my memory is playing tricks I seem to ...

Tarks has a lot of talents, but at the moment he's ball watching whilst static, shouldn't be too hard to iron out with some basic do's & don'ts drills and back line & keeper communication.

Gonna sound daft but I was thinking about this earlier on and thought Heaton maybe had a role to play, not in coming out for those type of balls, they were Tarks to defend, but in shouting at his defence to keep their men. I remember when playing the interchanging shouting of who've you got from cor...

Er, yes. And Gray can do all that. Point is - Leicester have the players capable of playing those kind of passes and are set up in a way where that happens. Burnley don't and never have been. Instead of allowing Gray to be like you've outlined above - he spent last season chasing punts from Mee. He...

I agree with you HelloHiGoodbye that Gray would do better in a better side, true of many a player, and for example he could do well against us if we were sitting deep scared of his pace. Re: Gray v Vokes - the stats
Ah, the offside thing. He was offside a lot because we spent 99% of the time expecting him to chase aimless punts. We didn't use him efficiently whatsoever. In fact, we spent most of last season converting him into a target man. If I was Gray and if I knew the team were never going to play to my ov...

I would. Like for like means attributes of pace and power. We have barely none now, especially the latter. You don't have pace as an attribute when you're offside, coming back from offside, flat footed, on your heels. He loses the majority off upper body tussles Imo he's over muscled and therefore ...
