Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Player swap deals seem to be few and far between nowadays. Ultimately, it’s for us to make them an offer and for the selling club to make a decision one way or t’other. As per normal, what the player wants will have an impact on things, especially when he can walk away for free in less than 12 mont...

It doesn’t matter what the system is Charlie is a one trick pony. Push and run down the line, close his eyes and belt it across. I’ve bleated for years about his lack of a right foot and how every team we play know he will never come infield and always overlap. This is so easy for the defenders to ...

If O 'Shea comes off then what has pleased me is how quiet it was kept, leaving no chance for another club to try to get him. Seem to recall many of our signings happened this way last Summer. Means the regular stories and rumours about players, particularly those playing in the UK ie Gyokeres, Cla...

Maatsen has had some tremendous games but far too many poor games for me to think he can cut it in the PL. Muric has made very few WOW saves and has been beaten too often without making an attempt. Its generally accepted in English football that how big a club you are should be judged on how many major trophy's you have won in the last decade. For clubs who haven't won anything in the last 10 years then the bigger club is deemed the one who most recently won a major trophy. Major trophy's for...

If we sign Bayer I don’t see THB staying. It would not be progressive to keep him when we have three other CBs who are as good or better. THB will be too expensive to buy, better to look for a 3/4m youngster or call McNally back

It is very hard to draw conclusions about accounts that are over 12 months in the past. Another season has gone by and it is reasonable to assume the Balance Sheet has improved since then. This is because the P&L Account is likely to be better, attendances at the ground and a further years trading....

The possession based game only works when you are better, or at least as good as, the opposition
Hence our thumping at the Etihad
I think VK knows this and will adapt to the opposition. It was good to see in second half at Deadwood that our backs to the wall defending still works
