Re: Czech pilsen lager

For best results make a yeast starter. This will mean buying a bag of dlme (dried light malt extract) and getting the yeast going in a container with an airlock 24 hrs ahead of brew time. Use about 4oz per litre of liquid. Gentle boil for 10 mins and then cool it down to about 21c. Add the yeast and...

I'd go softly on this one because trying to force it might have the opposite result. If they start leaning towards the wrong team because of family pressure then let the child know they always have a choice of teams and they can pick who they want. If they end up supporting Torquay United it is a be...

Whether or not you think he was a good player is irrelevant in terms of him being due a testimonial. He gave us 10 years of service and that alone is why he should have got one. He didn't though and it isn't the clubs fault. I can see why he is annoyed but if he didn't get his testimonial committee ...

You can use the bath or you can throw in ice.

If you are looking to get into the hobby more permanently then get a copper coil wort chiller. It will drop your wort down to temperature in about 20 mins. Leyland Home Brew used to do one for a very reasonable price.
