Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION

Am I mistaken or did the OP request no financial discussion on this thread? That applies to Vydra’s contract and insurance I would think. Hard to trawl through quickly due to all the other chat but it seems we have Cullen close (excellent), a stalemate on the City keeper and no news of an attacker (...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION

I think people forget we have about 8 games before the window closes. On that basis we aren't in any hurry to sell to the first bidder, we can hang on and see if we get better offers elsewhere. It also gives those players an idea of which way our club is going. IF we can get off to a good start, sh...

I’m a bit uncomfortable reading these threads and seeing several abusive descriptions of the Chairman, often in hypothetical scenarios like if we sell McNeil for ‘x’ it means he is deluded. Good points and it wouldn't surprise me if McNeil and Twine were among the top assists charts in the Championship next year, and in such a scenario their values would definitely increase, and put both in the shop window for interested PL clubs. Very pleased so far - the departures seemed obvious, none have gone yet I didn’t expect, just a tad disappointed in the Pope fee. Dwights value has suffered for last season. There's obviously a good player in there, which is why he's wanted. On his day he is worth 50million, but he doesn't have those days often enough. The issue with Cornet is his fitness but Premier sides who like to pack their squad with players will happily stick him on the bench. Selling players in January remains an option if we aren’t top two with a great chance (if finances dictate and we can’t wait out the season). Have a go, if we are in pole position by Jan the risk may feel worth taking, if not, sell the likes of Collins then, teams pay silly money in Jan at times.
