Trafford 5 - no chance with the goals but hesitant throughout and gave it away several times Assignon 6 - good energy and desire, no end product today O’Shea 3 - a shocker from the opening bell which cost us the game, stupidly booked, to blame for both goals, terrible, terrible performance Esteve 6 ...

Re: Tad unlucky to lose today- me thinks!!
Like Kenton points out above, a further stat, to score 7 goals in 12 home games against last year’s PL teams. That is why we are dropping, more than any other issue. Of those 7, 3 were within the first month against Villa and Spurs, so 4 goals since Sept 2nd in 6 months

Dara O shea MOM for me.   Been brilliant for the last month or two but 3/10 today at best. Booked after 20 seconds for total stupidity, leading to hesitant defending for both goals and throughout. Each time he got turned in the box, didn’t put a challenge in. It was a total shambles...

Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
O’Shea really has had a total shocker today. Culpable for both goals and booked after 20 seconds.
Will be fine in the EFL but not good enough for PL.
Reason for the defeat though is “Burnley 0”. Again.

No consistency with decisions as usual. OShea carded for dissent and later on their player kicks the ball away and gets nothing. O’Shea carded for kicking the ball away not dissent, act of total stupidity after 20 seconds that arguably made him cautious for his error for the goal. Fair point about ...

That’s why I’d like to see Forest drop no matter what even if it gives us tougher competition next season - after Athens etc. But this bleating by an ex FIFA elite ref on their behalf about a drop ball at the other end of the pitch - it pales into insignificance compared to what we have had, includi...

This season at least 4 teams deserve to go down. Everton nearly make it 5 but their run before Christmas for a month will keep them up. Whatever the reasons and sources of the cash, we do know that up to July 2022 the owners had taken £115m out of the club by way of interest-free loan and that the club had had to pay many millions in interest to service it. I've not seen anything at all on that decision on the Sky/BBC highlights but you always have to assume an offside is correct The interfering by a third part though (as in this case) is a subjective call (as with Endo for Liverpool today) so he may have been off but deemed not interfering despite Tr...

Blocking is not allowed, or at least shouldn’t be. Think the defender is allowed to mark a zone or move into a zone, but isn’t allowed to charge, trip or jump at another player.
