Re: Vydra
But, in a sensible discussion, you can't just compare two games like Chelsea and Brighton. You do realise Chelsea are by far a better side/team than Brighton don't you? You do realise we can attack a poorer team far easier than a good team? You keep using the word "guarantee". I'm not sure why as I...

Fair enough. I like us getting enough points to stay in the PL. Each to their own. So do I and if you think Barnes and Wood guarantee that then you're sadly mistaken. Equally our other strikers get into positions that Vydra doesn’t. As was evidenced by 2 or 3 very good crosses in the first half which weren’t attacked. We get it - you prefer Vydra - but to simplify it into a black and white issue is nonsensical. All of our strikers offer something a little differ...

I don't think we'll go down this season but don't kid yourself that IF Fulham were to beat us both home and away that gap is down to 2 straight away. Fwiw I don't think we'll lose both but we are by no means a certainty to stay up. An injury to Tarky or Mee would also prove catastrophic.

After Brighton's win at Liverpool tonight I think we can say it's now 3 from 4 in respect to who's likely to be going down. Can't see Newcastle not getting sufficient points to stay up. Nor Brighton. The good news is that we have a 8 point cushion to Fulham, 10 to West Brom and 11 to Sheff. United....

What massive surgery? A winger and a CB (if Tarks goes could be 2),maybe another striker. Hardly massive.
