'Was that a reason for the improvement or was Joe Hart just very unlucky to be in goal during our worst spell in the Premier League since our return for years ago?' Re: Golden glove

Without wanting to sound too partisan, I note from the Times season stats today that Emerson doesn’t feature in the list for top number of saves made Nick Pope was fourth I think. That suggests that he had to work much harder for his clean sheets (which we know). Should number of saves be taken into...

It was invented because most football fans have a natural bias that leads them to think the decisions that go against them are because the refs were either incompetent or favour the other teams As fans are still biased then the introduction of VAR has just increased peoples unhinged view that the r...

The concensus of opinion on the international referees' board that I post on is that the Westwood incident is 100% red but some considered the Pieters one to be a bit harsh and a yellow would probably have sufficed, although the majority view was two reds. Just imagine if this board had the opportu...

Yup, totally deserved it. They seemed able to grind results out a bit more this season, a lot of games where they weren't actually as incredible as last season but when a team starts doing that you know they're on for the title. As for the fans, they're the same as every other set of fans in the co...
