Has to rank as the best sporting feat I have ever witnessed (albeit from my front room). I recommend the Amazon series ‘The Test’ To any cricket fan if you’ve not seen it. It’s a fly-on-the-wall doc charting Australia’s renaissance after the sandpaper scandal and Justin Langer taking over the reins....

Needed a shake-up to be fair. All those guys found wanting, kept going by Jeff Stelling who my 10 year-old calls : "the man who knows everything". Cricket wise Beefy had all but gone also, often felt he offered precious little insight for such a magnificent ex-player (too much red wine?) - all the A...

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I do think Nixon is dismissive of Burnley. Think he’s always been grumpy with us since the Coyle episode. If Worrall, at 23, with a couple of full championship seasons and England youth pedigree, isn’t worth as much as £10m, then you’d wonder whether he’d be good enough to be a future regular in the...

Kieran Trippier at Ewood in the 2-1 win was pretty spectacular- especially given the context of the game. Glen Little away at Birmingham in a 3-2 midweek win also springs to mind as a player who was unplayable. I took a couple of non supporting Burnley fans to that match and they were enraptured. Bl...

Leeds look like they might be taking a little bit of a scattergun approach to signings. They certainly seem to have money to spend - up to £25m for Ben White now.
Harry Wilson been told he can leave Liverpool too. Not sure how good he is week in week out, but can obvs look after a free kick.

There's no smoke without fire.
I wonder whether Wood has his agency eyeing up a move, or eyeing up improved terms after a fruitful season. His agency sell themselves of having a "Commitment to Honesty' -surely an oxymoron for a sports agency.

Problem Chelsea have is what to do with Kepa. He was a world record buy for a keeper two years ago and must be on a massive salary. If his reputation is good in Spain then maybe an exchange with Oblak is a possibility. Can’t see him being offloaded to Burnley or Ajax that’s for sure.

Only picked it up live once we were 3 down but the last hour was superb cricket. A 17 year old bowling 90 mph and a leg spinner turning it round corners against an excellent Pope and Root, clinging on for dear life.

Wood’s a good player. My elderly parents can’t get past the fact that he’s caught offside a lot and has a quite a languid style which makes him look like he’s not interested. Bad news for an already threadbare squad.
The Board perhaps think they already have his replacement in Brownhill but given the obvious total communication breakdown between manager and Board, it looks clear that any recruitment drive has even been discussed.

I think confidence was high among the visiting fans for sure after a great trip down.
Don’t recall being overly concerned by their threat. The longer it stayed 0-0 the more likely we were to win. And once Pato did ‘that’ it was curtains for Reading.
