I feel both deflated and excited about our squad, it's very odd. So much talent and potential, so little nous or leadership. It's the next transfer window window that's really important, can we keep our best players when we go down. With more experience and development this squad stays up easy peasy.

That's the problem with this board, it goes too far. To say he didn't look up for the fight in his cameo is fine, to say its an odd substitution is fine. He hasn't lit any fires since arriving but some of the criticism and abuse on here is way overboard.

I find it weird people don't see the ability amdouni clearly has. It's not quite coming off for him at times, but he has the potential to be a top player, both in terms of linking play and as a goalscorer. He could be a 15-20 goal striker in the premier league imo.

He looks like a man who regrets coming to Burnley. He clearly has talent based on what he did last season, but he looked half asleep when he came on. I still hope he'll come good but physically he looks ill equipped for the premier league.

More than possible my mind is playing tricks! I definitely remember a 1v1 JBG had vs arsenal on the left edge of the box which would be a bit odd from wide right. And I thought (but might be wrong) he was picking up space centrally especially second half.

Just watch the highlights, no way should he be being beaten from that angle for the second goal. Long barrier required, as per Nick Pope. I'm sure he'll learn, but it's costing us at the moment James Trafford is not costing us anything at the moment. In net terms, he's most certainly in the black.

I remember that season very well. We looked so lost in the first half of the season, and looking at that lineup it's not tricky to see why. For me the best decision Stan made for Burnley was bringing in Paul Cook, which must've been soon after the turn of the year ish in 1999. He was absolutely class.
