Re: South Africa v England 2nd Test
Great test match - really even and brilliant finish. Ben Stokes has got to be up there in the world in terms of coming up with the goods when it matters. Still think we are struggling to find the right test team though. South Africa have got a really poor record in the last dozen test matches - and...

Strange decision by Root not to declare at lunch surely 420 was enough of a lead, tough with the ball for England, but SA don't have a lot of batting to come after Du Plessis, couple of early wickets in the morning, and victory should assured by mid-afternoon,the :?: remains is this a one-off from this ...

Agree with that - and I would have been happy to see Jay start with Richardson. I know he may not be quite ready yet but at least unlike Vydra he is playing and scoring for the u23s and for me he is far more the future than Vydra who will know himself now that it’s unlikely this club is his future....

Nahki Wells's contract is up in the Summer, he can go anywhere with no fee, but get himself a nice signing on fee or enhanced wages ... Denly gone for 31,good effort but again he didn't go on,that Sibley/Denly partnership has put England in the box seat though, lead of almost 150 and they should be aiming to double that at least. How much is our bench worth £35m? Yes a Burnley FC bench is worth around £35m. And the majority of that £35m doesn't get a game That's a lot of money spunked no matter which way you look at it. How can our wage bill be so high? our players can barely pass a football. I think we need a major clear out but seemingly don’t have the cash available to do so. Firstly, I’ll just put it out there straight away that I think, if Ashley Barnes struggling with his groin, as much as I’d being suggested, then right now is the time he should have his operation to get it sorted. I’m a huge advocate of the Wood-Barnes partnership, but right now, a break is needed....

It's kind of like the Board (and the manager to some extent) are taking a very 'Premier League' viewpoint that the fans don't really matter.
