I bet the patronising comment by Lineker regards him getting less than Chris Evans went down well with so many people working at the BBC, especially those who work more than 1 night a week for 9 months a year unless he is asked to do extra during a summer tournament every other year.

The view that due to a 13m release clause for Chicharito he is cheaper than Assombalonga is good stuff, I mean it isn't like there would be a large signing on fee, plus his agent fee and the reported wage of around 130k a week...

Fancy a little wager on that? Also, most of the popular entertainment shows on there will be BBC repeats or will be in someway part funded by the BBC. I would say the people who pay for SKY for the purpose of live sport would claim it is value yeah. There is more to tv than entertainment programmes...
