I usually shop where they have the 25% discount on Vino ;) I enjoy the christmas ads but it doesn't make a tad of difference where I shop which ranges from Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi, Sainsburys or Waitrose.

We get loads of Goldfinches at our bird feeders here in Chester and the occasional Greenfinch but I haven't seen a Redwing or Fieldfare yet. "Goldies" as my wife likes to call them are definitely on the increase. In the annual RSPB bird count we noted over twenty!

Poor referee cost us. He became fixated that England were at fault in the scrums late on when the decisions could have gone either way. England game management superb. The Boks were rattled and that is unusual.

I live on the Welsh border but today was the first time I've ventured over there since the 20mph was instigated. Wow it's slow to the point of ridiculous. I hope that no one in power in England ever gets the urge to impose this on the motoring public. Some may disagree but I feel it's just too slow.

If you intend doing any walking on Shetland make sure you wear long trousers and have a "tick" remover in your possession. Ticks are in abundance on the island and unfortunately Lymes disease is carried by them. An associate of mine from Shetland nearly lost his wife to the disease a few years back....

The match is going more or less as I expected. Lots of effort from our side but City have picked us off expertly. I think this will happen a lot this season. Not disappointed with our display but we're up against one of the best sides on the planet and can't expect too much.

Wonderful balance and devasting shot with either foot.
His injury was the reason we didn't win the FA cup back in 74. He played at Hillsborough in the semi against the Geordies but clearly wasn't fit. Such a wonderful footballer.

Sounds like a powerful beer at over 6%. I'm a lightweight where beer is concerned and prefer the 3.5-4.0% range. "Cheshire Cat" from Weetwods being my favourite tipple.
