What's with the ripped socks? A number of our players today have their socks torn at the rear, on the calf muscle. Is there any particular reason for it?

As I alluded to yesterday: There's a chronic shortage of referees. Hi groove, have you slipped into a time warp? It's now 2023, not 1921 when the FA used the "reasoning" you are quoting to ban women playing football. Official attendances don't mean a thing now. It should go on turnstile clicks, actual bums on seats. But it doesn't. It counts non-attendees. Shame really, because checking the gate was a traditional part of the whole matchday experience for me, wether i was there or not.

Koleosho's final touch was awful. The ball was well on its way out of play when there was contact. If his final touch was a bit more deft, or he had the ball at his feet, it's a penalty.I think the ref got it right.

I'm not so sure it was a stonewall penalty. LK's touch was awful and he'd never have got the byline if he'd stayed on his feet. LK knew this and awaited the inevitable contact. If it's a better touch by LK, it's a penalty.
