For me his inconsistency was his main problem - blew up for some very soft freekicks then allowed a climbing all over to be play on! He literally made up the backing in/climbing over ones up as he went on. This was for both teams by the way; at least he was fair in being rubbish. For me the worse on...

Two massive players for us over these last few years and feel genuinely gutted they are leaving. I do, however, agree with many posts it's the right time for both parties. I noticed that our wingers, especially Lennon, quite often pull the opposing player inside to create space for Ward and Lowton to get down the wing. This has been working well all season - think about Ward’s goal against Chelsea. He was able to get in down the left completely unchallenged. It also ...

Eeeeeeee, the Waddle season "shudder". I seem to think our first league goal scored was away to York. I'd traveled with a supporters group, got stuck in traffic so arrived late and so had missed us take the lead. We then went on to lose 3-1 if my memory serves me right. It really was grim times.

I'd sooner see him playing on the right side of a back three but he looked very comfortable and composed. I agree ashton. The thing is to accommodate Walker in a back 3 Southgate is forced to play him on the right of the 3 which then pushes Tarks to the left. You're then left with two players out o...

I actually still think he was pretty poor today. The difference to the norm is he favoured us today. Lennon handball was a pen for me and I thought Westwood was very lucky not to get a red. In balance Noble could have gone too. I just don't think he's a good ref.
