Thought Amdouni and Odobert also had good games, turning people and going past them. Unfortunately we also gave away possession too easily, too often, but the signs are definitely improving.

I'm with burnley007, thought he was enjoying himself tonight and a much better performance. Lyle made himself available more tonight, making it his best performance since his return. Now he needs to improve his passing and he'll be back to his best. Another improved performance by the team, onwards ...

Re: Kompany post match interview
Not sure he has struggled with recruitment, apart from failing to find an adequate replacement for Maatsen. Maybe he didn't want to miss signing any of the potential stars who play as wide front men. We don't have to make a judgement on that for a good while yet. It's OK to speculate but not fair to...

I also think VK is trying to instill some extra positional discipline which in turn is reducing our attacking options and making us slightly more predictable going forward especially through the middle. Think we'll need most if not all of our wingers by the end of the season.

Re: Nathan Redmond
The tactics/playing style can't be judged until the players start pinging it around quicker up front but particularly at the back. The slow passing at the back invites other teams to press us high, too high and makes it more difficult to create the angles required to escape the press. This makes us ...

Just wait until it clicks. When it does it won't be because VK has changed much, it will be because the players will have improved and performed better. Massive game as in 'the next game' is always massive whoever we play. The ex Burnley connection just adds another dimension which I'm sure the media will hype up as well. Not interested in where other teams will finish just hope that we can get out of the bottom 3.

The temptation for VK is to start Ramsey. When he comes on as a sub at home he is usually that much faster than the rest who have been playing for 70/75 minutes that his aggressive runs take him beyond his teammates. If he was to come on to help defend a lead it would be difficult to do it in a defe...

VK wants the players to eventually play with a false nine or a line leader (Jay) with quick, skilful players around him. Recruitment in the summer was all about who can we make money on, according to the 'experts' on here, no-one else. Not to be confused with the club's long term strategy. VK's substitutions last season were seen as excellent. Why? Because we won games. Now they are useless. Why? because we aren't win...

A hat-trick of mistakes. Trafford chooses not to pick the ball up. Vitinho plays a ball from his position wide right into Berge, in the centre of th pitch, who is marked by a Wolves player. Berge miscontrols the ball and gives possession to Wolves on the edge of our penalty area.
