I don’t have a horse in the race (as I’m not a member of the Conservative Party) but it’s obvious right now that (1) there cannot be a coronation- it has to be a genuine competition with the members getting the final say, (2) Boris HAS to be one of the final two- or else the members will never get p...

Re: Vydra speaks again
Surely Vydra’s future is, to some extent, centred around the player(s) that Dyche brings into the club to play in midfield... If we can bring in players who will allow us to play to Vydra’s strengths then he will likely stay and, hopefully, be a good signing for us. If we can’t however bring in play...

Well this news certainly confirms that Hart has no future at the club (which we already knew to be fair!).
Hart has to be pushing his agent to get him out of the club as soon as he humanly can do!

Possibly Dyche is expecting Tarkowski to move and wants a replacement in before it happens. Possibly Dyche is thinking that he wants to move to a 3-5-2 formation and he needs an extra CB to do so (thus allowing Dunne to have 12 months in the Championship next season to continue his development). West Brom have always come across as a well run club but after a first failure to get back up there is going to be some serious cost cutting. Anybody else spot the comment in the article that Jay Rod may well be on the move too- simply because he might be too expensive for them to keep?
If we want him (and it wouldn’t surprise me if we do!) then it might not be too difficult to prise him loose from West Brom this summer....

I just don’t see how at present either player fits in. Age is against both of them- we need to decrease our average squad age not maintain/increase it. Am happy with this news. He’s been a very useful and reliable player for us. When we signed him it was with a view to having a Defour/Cork midfield with JBG, Brady and Lennon as wide players - it’s easy to see the evolution that SD wanted to go towards. If we do sign Bogle then I’d imagine that Ward is the one who will make way.
Bogle becomes the back up to Lowton (and his replacement in time!) and Bardsley can be given another 12 months to act as the “across the back four” sub and all round “senior pro” who’s good for the dressing room.

It’d be a serious statement of intent to not just the current squad and the fans but also to the rest of the division too that we’re not going down without a fight.
