Re: England v Australia 3rd Ashes Test

I know it's a massive call and a huge talking point, but PERSONALLY I'd leave Anderson out, even though it's Old Trafford. He's 37 and becoming an injury issue and we've just won a game. Leave as is and if necessary tinker with the batting as in lose Roy and choose A.N. Other, but leave the bowling ...

Roy has to go (unfortunately) imo for Old Trafford and Butler is arguably under real pressure and COULD be changed. Otherwise, stick with the lads who ultimately triumphed in this match and take it to them!!! I'll be there at OT on day one!!

Re: No Vokesy in Stoke squad today

It didn't start well for Vokesy down there, sadly. I THINK he missed a penalty, which isn't like him, in his first or second game. Then he actually scored early in another game, but was promptly injured and laid up for a spell. He's since missed another penalty (I THINK?) and been somewhat on the fr...

Other clubs can't give them money - that would probably be against all league rules for a start. Happened once when the Rotherham owner helped Derby out with money, Anton Johnson I think. It kept Derby up, at our expense, in 1983 but Rotherham also went down. It's a competition, nothing to do with ...

The Port Vale situation has been extremely toxic for some time under the "stewardship" of Smurthwaite, but he finally agreed to jog on a short while back and 2 local, seemingly well heeled fans took over, so there's light in that particular tunnel. However, if Smurthwaite now moves on to another clu...
