Re: Lyle Foster
Suffice to say that there's a contributer to this thread who opined that Ings wasn't up to scratch for the strikers job in our first full championship season under Dyche. Few people challenged his wisdom. He offered this opinion having seen about as much of Ings as we've seen of Foster. That's a fa...

Re: Lyle Foster
It’s concerning that he doesn’t have one solid trait in terms of blistering pace, control, vision or finishing, but I have noticed him snatching at the opportunities he has had. Hopefully once he calms down he’ll be able to find his rhythm and start to prove those who have already written him off w...

Re: Lyle Foster
He needs to sit down and watch Andre Gray's debut for us against Sheffield Wednesday, now I've seen enough of Lyle to know that he's technically as good as Gray but he needs to get that energy and angst that Andre had. Gray's debut was Bristol City away. But you could immediately tell he had someth...

Irrelevant. Barnes has over 100 league goals to his name with multiple seasons operating in the Prem.
From what I have seen so far we have to hope Foster has a future in England, because at the moment he's miles off it.

Isn't this the point of the season where the squad shows the manager why they should be in the planning for next season? All we saw yesterday is why Foster, Churlinov and Twine don't play very much. As for Foster being bought for the Prem I am bemused.I am pretty sure you have to show something at C...

Re: ASHLEY BARNES: 10 Years A Claret | Part One
Mixed feelings about his wife being involved in this. In a way, a nice touch to get another perspective, however I think all this does is conform to a stereotype about footballers' wives and it all being about the player with the wife's function simply being about support. I think it would have been...

Re: no betting companies on PL shirts....
Magnificent news, generally. Three years seems like a long time, and I worry that we will take up another big deal with a gambling sponsor, but to have a reasonable end date, insight, is nothing but fantastic news. This sort of thing can’t just change overnight: proper reform takes time. I was left...

He does have dodgy 10-15 minute spells when he loses his head and gets caught defensively, and gives the ball away cheaply, and his positioning defensively can be suspect. But if he improves over the next 6 months at the same rate he has over the last 9 months, that won't be an issue next season. I...

Maatsen is a good player. My observation is he is raw, more so than our other loans, and we can't afford to carry that in the Prem. If Maatsen had given the ball away as much against Prem opposition as he did last night, we would be cut to ribbons. And no amount of tidy forward play is making up for...

If you think it is acceptable in elite-level sport for the team facing the decision to be unsure of whether they are facing a man down for ten mins or potentially a lot longer and therefore unsure of their own tactics on the pitch, that is of course your point of view to maintain. A lot is made of our alleged weakness at set pieces, mainly stemming from the Sheffield United game, but how many goals from corners have we scored this season? It is a fair few. I also remember, back to the Sheff Utd game, THB having a number of opportunities to score from corners in that game.
