He's okay. I'm not having that his pass for Laarsen's goal was some exquisite work of beauty though. It was a long ball down the channel and Laarsen did his man for pace. No complaints because a goal's a goal, but still. Good player to have on the books, but I really want Ekdal back in the team.

Sacking him after we lose to SheffU will be a bigger blunder with more costly long-term term consequences than the hypothetical loss to SheffU itself, which is recoverable, and might be of limited consequences if results go our way next weekend.

Don't overcomplicate it. We have really young players, we're giving them a baptism of fire, no stabilisers, no hand-holding, just let them play, fk up, get better, play again, fk up again, play again... He's out best box to box midfielder, and he's also our best defensive midfielder, and because defensive midfield is an area we struggle with, it makes sense to stick him next to Browhill and not play him as an attacking midfielder where we already have about fifteen options anyway.
