Heartbreaking. I was out yesterday and went to shelter under a tree briefly then remembered you shouldn't, got soaked in the rain. John White, the great inside forward in the Spurs double team sheltered under a tree during a thunderstorm while playing golf and was killed by a lightning strike. I wa...

Yes the demise of Stoke in the PL was rapid. They never flirted with relegation, ending up mid table every season with European football and an FA Cup final thrown in. Even when they changed Pulis for Hughes they maintained their mid table position. It ended for them in the space of one season duri...

I thought that OP was referring to the fact that Debenhams is closing down. Along with the fact that Beales has already closed, Bournemouth town centre is in a sorry state. The players are talismanic more then they are great players. Same with Wolves and Jimenez. The players mentioned instill a belief in others that they can be the game changer so the others raise their game. Mark them out of the game and generally the teams can be beaten. Jiménez is a good shout to a...

I’m not sure I’d put Antonio at the same level in terms of his team’s dependence on him but he always causes us problems.

I’m currently watching Aston Villa, without Jack Grealish, beating Crystal Palace, with Wilfried Zaha. Didn't see the Vyds chance or any of the game today. At times Vyds likes to take that extra touch to come across the defender, was that the case here ? The likes of Liverpool require their loaned out players to get a minimum amount of game time and therein lies the problem. If said player isn't performing, we are obliged to pick them regardless. Can I ask what is persuading people to give Vydra ratings of 6 & even 7?

I’ve rated him 4 because he should have scored at 0-1 and then set up their second with a poor header. Both those were costly so I really don’t get the high ratings for him today.
