I also couldn't see where he fit in after the Sunderland game, but credit to him, he's come on a lot and adapted since then. That said, he's getting on and it's good we've brought in new striking options with a view to the future.

It's also worth noting that if you bite off more than you can chew in terms of walking distance, a taxi anywhere from Burnley to the surrounding areas or vice-versa isn't going to break the bank.

I'm sure Carlisle told a story about how on the way back from an away fixture around Christmas time, the squad booted Laws off the bus at a service station and made him get a taxi the rest of the way home so they could go out in Nottingham.

Dyche was underwhelming but he was young and appeared to have done alright at Watford, there was potential. With Laws I think we knew exactly what he was all about and it pretty much went as we thought.

Muric is the definition of a trade off, there are far better keepers out there when it comes to commanding the area and even shot stopping, but what we sacrifice in that regard we gain with his ball control and passing range. If we want to play Kompany’s possession based style we can’t have a keeper...

Barnes is either not good enough anymore or unable to play in this set up, or a combination of the two. His game now seems to boil down to throwing himself to the ground trying (and failing) to win free kicks.

Not podcast related but does anyone know if Dyche got paid off when he was sacked? I remember DiMatteo years ago not accepting a settlement from Chelsea and they had to pay out the rest of his contract, but this also meant he couldn't accept a new job or he'd forfeit that arrangement.
