How are United offering more than Chelsea and West Ham? A players price, is a players price. We set it not the purchasing club? Immediately if you get one of the big spenders in for a player, you can ask more. You can't ask more if its only one or two mediocre teams bidding. Players prices are not ...

Soon we won't even need them. What I find more annoying is there sheer ability to ignore anything under their nose. Yes they are a linesman (or woman) but some of the cheating they see up close and do nothing about is just stupid. But regarding the playing on thing, it doesn't bother me. You should ...

A press conference now was no surprise, but I would be surprised if these became frequent in the future. I’m not sure if owners are more public facing generally in US sports. Me too, but I think they are more public in US sports. Many owners are both loved and hated. They also tend to rely on a gen...

I winced a bit at his comments about Southampton’s academy, something along the lines of the new owners have devastated their academy. That may well be true, I don’t know, but perhaps not wise to air such views publicly when we may at some point want to do business with these people. Can't say I th...

I think he will have to learn to be a bit more careful and perhaps make sure he has a PR because any joke or word said in jest can quickly turn against you. I don't think he was very prolific but some names just showed up on Teletext far too often. I remember fearing Barnard at Barnsley who if I remember right was a free kick specialist. I think we are a couple of good pacey players away from being a total nightmare to play against for most teams Yup, we've always been a team who relies a lot on individuals when going forward and we need to get a bit less predicable. At the same time though it's hard to find players with more pace ...

I don't watch enough other teams, but if I did I'd put Burnley top to watch in defence and close to bottom in attack. I'm amazed by how we defend, but also amazed how inept we look in attack. It's well known, I thought, that some players develop at different rates. Ian Wright for example Not denying that. It's also well known the older you are the smaller the chances are.. Especially if you're already at a premier league club. Anyway, my original point still stands. 21 isn't that young.
