Re: Outstanding Defensive Display
An outstanding defensive display against the lowest scorers in the division. A point is a good result but I was there and I find actively playing for a 0-0 pretty hard to stomach. Newcastle have got nothing up front so I feel like we could have played a slightly more open match and beat them with ou...

Re: Europa League - New target
Where and how do you think Wolves have been acquiring players to allow them to do that? That's beside the point. I'm not saying we should be competing for 4th spot or the Europa League, just that Wolves are proof you can play in two competitions with minimal rotation without performing worse in eit...

Wolves are tearing up the Europa League this season and are only five points off fourth in the Premier League. Plus they've been putting out strong teams in both competitions despite having a small squad. The idea that we can't compete on both fronts is nonsense.

Re: The chairman’s comments on the transfer situation
The problem with our current approach is that we've got one of the oldest squads in the league. Sooner or later we need to bring in some younger replacements and if we only shop in England that's going to cost us £15-25 million a player. If we won't do that there will come a point of collapse and we...

You can't knock the goalscoring record of Barnes and Wood, but do we need to blindly pick them every game no matter what? There's some games where a bit more subtlety is needed, Liverpool at home springs to mind, Van Dijk and Matip were dealing with our long balls comfortably. Why not try Jay Rod o...

Weirdly Leicester are second from bottom in the XG table so it's not like they've been creating a load of chances, just scoring a lot of good goals. If we sit back and keep things tight we should be able to frustrate them.

Newcastle fans only see Ashley as a bad owner because they have the perpetual belief they should be spending hundreds of millions a year and challenging for the title. Wood and Barnes tend to struggle against sides with big centre backs (Brighton and Everton for example). Might as well bring in Jay or Vydra for those kind of games.

Not the kind of signing I'd like us to be making. At least if we spend £20 million on a striker from the Championship we know they're going to fit in with the squad and not end up seeking a move back abroad in a seasons time when they struggle with the language and can't settle.
