I don't understand the emphasis on expected goals.

And it's clear to see we've had problems at both ends of the pitch - we've been so open and poor defensively.
Who decides what an expected goal is?

In regards to dyche saying after the game that Everton’s ugly performance was by design, I’m not buying that at all. They just aren’t very good but we are worse and gifted them a goal. Muric cost about 3 million quid, Allison cost about 70, Ederson about 35 - would you expect him to be as good as them ? Bonkers :D No. I wouldn't. I wanted an upgrade on him, that's all. Presumably Kompany thought that Trafford would take to the PL like a duck to water. Sadly that hasn't happened.

I agree about Trafford, I disagree about Muric - we've seen both Allison and Ederson do exactly what Muric did today (in terms of giving the ball away and conceding a goal). The likes of Muric, Roberts, Benson, Cork, Zaroury, Cullen and one or two others who are/were no longer worthy of starting games. Then there's letting Barnes go, who couldn't have been any worse than Amdouni has this season.
