Re: Ashes third test
Despite all the angst about England throwing away their wickets etc. Looking at the first two games despite all that they lost the first game because they couldn’t get Cummins out who batted well above his average. In the second game they lost by 43 runs which may well have been attainable without t...

One or two posters above suggesting he wasn't such a bad chap, but basically him and his crew ( 3 other BES employees got jail terms) were pirates plundering small businesses. They should have made him walk the plank but now the taxpayer will have to feed and shelter him for circa 13 years.

Re: Ashes Second Test
I think there is a parallel to the Bairstow dismissal in football. Consider when an opponent goes down injured and the defending team put the ball into touch. The etiquette is for the opposition to take the throw in and return the ball to the goalie usually and then carry on as per normal. Haven’t t...

Bearing in mind Prigozhin is a mercenary I wonder if the Allies/US/Ukrainians have just simply bribed him in some way to stage a coup? 400 Wagner vehicles on their way to Moscow allegedly and Russian military vehicles on the streets of Rostov and Moscow seem to indicate something is definitely afoot.

Going off the home match vs Swansea, the "Swansea Way " seemed to be passing the ball a lot and then getting hammered. Duff will soon put a stop to that.

According to the Molineaux fan web site Collins is likely to go for circa Brentford for £25 million so there won’t be much profit for Burnley even if there is a sell in clause.

Leicester could be in some serious difficulty if they don’t go up at the first time of asking. I would imagine that they will have made a loss last season as they didn’t sell anyone and their wage bill was in the top half of the EPL was it not?

That funky first innings declaration is looking rather reckless now. With Root in full flow and two wickets in hand and the Aussie’s tongue hanging out another 50 runs were potentially available. That 50 runs is looking a very forlorn hope at the moment with only Jimmy to bat.

I’d rather have Nathan Tella back instead of him. At double the price. Thing is Dermotx2 if Southampton don’t want to sell him then Burnley can offer all the tea in China and it makes no odds. Some Everton fans will be a bit embarrassed by this feat. A few weeks back it looked like the vast majority of them wanted him out.
He has done a great job with what he had to work with. If only he could have got more of a tune out of McNeil last season.

Nevertheless 3/4 miles in the English Channel for a 70 year bloke will be some feat.
