Brilliant news if this is true. In my opinion not much different to the last incumbent and probably not as likely to attract the superstar players as some of the big names mentioned previously. Also not sure he will have the backbone to handle the expectations if things go tits up.

Great way to celebrate 9 years anniversary as our manager. Superb win today, let's hope that turns the corner. A lot of squawking this week about hoofball and being effectively 'anti-football' so it was good to see us play good football and certainly nothing like a long ball game. Congratulations on...

I think as we became more desperate with time running out we were more inclined to use long balls. I doubt anybody would be keen to see us tip tapping it around the back four or trying to craft our way through midfield at that stage of the game. I don’t believe our DNA is to be a long ball side as S...

I have no particular love for Liverpool but I have say I enjoyed that. I almost enjoyed the after match bickering, but Sky spoil it as usual with their emphasis on why the glory boys can't always be unbeatable. Maybe they should spend more money.

I have no problem with taking on Barkley on loan but worry that we may putting our eggs all into one basket. The squad needs some new faces though out to catch up on under investment over the last few years, financing Barkley’s wages might restrict any long term recruitment.

They routinely change their name every time they play us to ‘Manchester City Five’. Of course it is difficult as it is for ANY team who play them, but if you factor their ridiculous financial support against ours in terms of potential goals then five is brilliant result for us. As long as premier le...

If a big Arab chap approaches Steve Bruce at lunchtime today with a copy of the Quran tucked under one arm and a sword in the other, then they will need a new manager for the next game.
