Re: Old local sayings
Bosscat I saw a piece with Athers and Bumble about that - can't remember the details - I think it originated in the home dressing room at Old Trafford relating to the direction most of the weather came from. I heard Bumble on TMS saying it came about from an old Lancashire player (Bill) whose mothe...

Re: Coronavirus
Cases are down but the number of tests are down. Yesterday 342 cases from 4,975 tests = 6.87%. Today 232 new cases from 2,535 tests = 9.17. This means that if we test the same amount today as yesterday there would be 456 cases which would mean a jump of 114 cases. I think you meant to say, it would...

I was just wondering if there was a credible opposition party and shadow cabinet to assist in any way with the tumultuous decisions that are having to be made at this time and then I remembered that they are, of course, still in a period of ‘reflection’. Oh well, at least that makes me feel just so...

That's quite normal. At the minute, this is just, in theory, a rearranged game. Refund or "tickets valid for rearrangement" would normally take a couple of days to announce. Of course it's not really like that but just give the bureaucracy and the decision a few days. That's not much to ask for. Ti...

Pretty lazy of the BBC. They should show the ten best goals/saves or moves for each of the Premiership teams over the last season or so. Or highlights of the 10 best shock results over the last few seasons. We'd feature on one or two of those. Chelsea away comes immediately to mind and I'm sure the...
