Re: Happy Birthday spades
Happy birthday spades. When my daughter was born in December you put a lovely message on here about the importance of cherishing every moment and every sound she makes as she grows. Well, she will be six months old in a few days time and we've done exactly that, it's been an incredible experience, w...

Re: Vole and Mole problems
Having a ruddy nightmare with them at present. Local folk round my area gave me this advice, 1. Get a cat (mine's presented 5 or so on the doorstep this year so far) 2. Pee down the hole 3. Garlic water down the hole and try growing garlic around the garden 4. Get some metal canes, stick them in the...

Re: Michael Keane's "Rock Bottom"
Thought it was going to be a thread about the people's champion. Alas, it was much darker and unexpected. I hope he thrives and batters those demons if they happen to re-emerge. I cannot imagine what it must be like for a professional footballer going through poor form and mental difficulties. Keep ...

Re: ARTICLE: The Orient Game – Local Press
But in all my years on the Longside I was never squashed in like I was that day. No doubt that a large section of the Longside was squashed, perhaps 3 quarters of it going off the footage and there appeared to be a decent sized squash right in the centre of the Beehole but would this take the actua...

Empty seats in the cricketfield, not a lot in the away end, no man's land empty, long side bottom right as you look at it was thinning out, both sides of the beehole were thinned out as was the front. 17,500 sounds reasonable.

RIP to a musical genius. I had tickets to see Kraftwerk next week (Coronavirus put paid to that), real bucket list stuff and although he wasn't with the group anymore he was the genesis of Kraftwerk along with Ralf Hütter. He helped create the greatest piece of music I've ever heard, Autobahn. Kling...

I did this doodle over the course of a year in a beer garden in Oz, it's the only photo I have of it and is a little pixelated so you can't make out the detail. Somebody nicked it from my dorm room and I was proper gutted because it wasn't finished. 11165221_101253623544192_3931561896946058920_n.jpg

In-between the world cup and the traditional end of season, how about seed the 92 clubs and have an English, world cup format cup competition, the clubs that fail to qualify from their group stages go into their own cup etc and then end the season, have summer and get back to the traditional calendar.

Jeff Goldblum and Jesse Eisenberg. More power to you if you enjoy their work but I just can't stand their schtick. Eisenberg's Lex Luthor made me think Superman's arch nemesis was Jesse Eisenberg.

They are flowering early, probably because of the April weather. We've had near perfect weather for plant growth this spring, it's been wonderful, some good rain in February and half of March, then a constant few weeks of sun with temperatures hitting +25° and now back to April rain until next week...

Can't remember who it was against, maybe it was in Inchys season as manager but I used to stand right at the front of the Bee Hole directly behind the goals, we used to take the mick out of the goalkeeper every game, usually to no reaction, however on this one occasion my mate got the goalkeepers at...

Started watching a Disco Elysium playthrough. Got half an hour in and thought 'nope. This is too good. I'll wait for console' (I don't have a decent PC). There's nothing wrong with a bit of mindless fun but too many games attempting to rise above COD end up insulting your intelligence. This isn't o...
