I thought Ireland were very poor. Made far too many mistakes.

Frasier was brilliant - one of the best tv shows in history IMHO. Niles is one of my favourite comedy characters ever. Not sure I will bother with the new show - especially with most of the original cast not involved. I’d rather watch the repeats - I still enjoy them. Cheers was fantastic too - suc...

What's interesting about the decision is you'd think the 3rd Umpire would know the rules regarding the glove not being in contact with the bat when the ball hits it.

I must admit I don’t know if I buy the whole “took us into Europe” stuff. If so, unless he gets some game time he'll probably end up going out on loan and leaving for peanuts.

The other thing not mentioned about sides we have played is how few goals they have conceded, e.g. Spurs who are top have conceded only 8 from 8 and we scored a couple of those, whereas Chelsea have conceded even fewer and we scored against them too. We also scored against Villa who have a solid de...

Each to their own Tony. I'm not sure it was the worst Chelsea team I've seen but in any event that isn't a low bar given they've been a consistent top 4 or better team in the years we've been playing them. The front 6 Chelsea deployed in the second half was as good as anything anyone other than Cit...

Agree with the OP. It's a bit early to be hitting the panic button, however we really do need to cut out the individual errors and stop letting games run away from us when we concede at home. The international break has come at a good time. We've got a big month or two ahead. The question is whethe...

Sheffield United have been shocking, worse than us. No idea where this ‘they have more steel than us’ thing comes from. Can only imagine the reaction on here if Newcastle put 8 past us at the Turf. Re: Teams faced so far
Looking at previous seasons, we'd averaged over a point per club against those in the top half, basically taken around 12 points from the top ten at least.
Norwich got nil.
Unless we start to put points on the board against the top half clubs it's pretty much impossible to stop up.

My main problem is Chelsea lost to Forest, drew with Bournemouth and had only scored 7 goals prior to this game and they battered us. Simply put yes I admit but the actual challenge is there. So far the results at Forest and Luton show we can live with these teams. You may have misunderstood me. It should have been clear that the "gap" I am referring to is the size of club. not our on-field performances. We may have grown as a club, but the top teams have grown way more. We've spent around 90 million. Since new owners took over, Chelsea have spent over a bill...

Surely somewhere there must be the footage of the buildup to our 2nd goal? The difference here seems to be that ...

I think fans enjoy the pantomime situation of how players behave a times, probably one of the reasons why football is more popular than any other sport. However, if football is desperate to clean up its image then it should look at the sanctions issued in Rugby Union. I suspect if a player/players w...

Fulham were awful, Palhinha should be asked to explain his 2nd half by the manager this morning. From 12th downwards they look most likely to contest the relegation spots. Can't see either Palace or West Ham being anywhere near.
