Could we see ABBA at Turf Moor?
Penalty shootouts in football could be transformed to make them fairer under new plans being looked at by Uefa. The sport's European governing body is already trialling a new way for penalties to be taken in decisive shootouts. Instead of teams alternating spot-kicks, Uefa is considering a new syste...

Stats dot tell the whole picture. For example, Burnley's goal attempts are normally very low, but stats don't consider attacking crosses. Sam Vokes not connecting with a cross is just as threatening as shot on goal in our case.

I wouldn't want to see Rovers go bust. Some of my mates are Rovers fans, I enjoy the banter and the discussion about our respective clubs. Its what was Haslingden FC, was used by Stand and was then abandoned circa 1999 - the shots in the credit sequence are what remains or the ground. My Dad and Grandad tried taking me to the football when I was about 6, 7 or 8, to Burnley and couple of times up at Rossy Utd. Not interested at all, I was more interested in climbing the floodlights (at Dark Lane that is, not Turf Moor). It was only when I was about 10 when I took an interest.
