Re: Getting Our Lives Back

I haven't worked since 21 March. I earned a crust as a taxi driver but not much call for my services atm. I've enjoyed the time off with the family, but am ready to work again. For that to happen people need to be on the move again, particularly going out to pubs, restaurants, cinema, theatres.

Getting Our Lives Back

How safe does life have to be, for people who are fearful, to return to the 'old normal'? When told by government? When told by your scientist of choice?

Re: 33 years ago today:the Orient game

I'd been to a few games that season both home and away, restricted, thankfully, by my being in the RAF based in London. I left the RAF in the March and moved back north. On the day of the game I went on with my cousin and had pre match drinks in the 110 club. Looking out of the window of the 2nd flo...

I don't remember a lot of the games I went to as a youngster, but one I do remember is one in which Jim Thomson scored the winner against West Ham, after coming back from 2-0 down. It was on MOTD and pre game there was a lot of trouble on the terraces, which MOTD never referred to thankfully.
