Re: Lovely climb hangs well

Danny Murphy's comment on MOTD made me laugh - something on the lines of - "well, foul or no foul, it was a great header".

"Foul or no foul"?????? WTF are you on about? Without the foul he doesn't score and Llorente looks an idiot for missing the sitter a few minutes before to win the game.

Really? That was his last goal for us? You're right that it's a shame we lost but it was an absolute belter.

Blake only scored two PL goals for us? I can't remember either of them. Must have been tap ins against small teams in nothing games..... ;)

Re: Woevers v Man Utd

Coyle's celebration was a three second version of his managerial career It shows all you need to know about Coyle. It was such an obvious offside you would have thought a look to the linesman would have been your first reaction. Not celebrating like an 8 year old who has no real clue about the rules.

Re: Woevers v Man Utd

So, what message are Rovers fans sending Venkys by all turning up today? That the only thing they are protesting against is being near the bottom of the championship. Nothing to do with who owns the club. They just don't like being an average team. This was the big chance to publicise a proper prote...

Re: What if....?

I'm in no way Gray's biggest fan. In fact I agree with many of the criticisms that have been made - particularly his first touch. What I am saying is that if he could do all the things many seem to expect him to do with ease then he wouldn't be at Burnley. Do you not think that he must be aware of h...

Re: What if....?

Red cards are for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity so in Andre's case it would have to be pretty much an open goal else my money would be firmly on him messing it up like he does the rest of the time Like the three chances he 'messed up' against Sunderland. If he was better player then he w...

Re: TOTAL EMBARRASMENT

I'd be looking at there centre half who scored as a replacement for keane, kept all our forwards quiet. Really? Lincoln looked a decent, well organised side but I don't think that there are too many Jamie Vardy's out there. Those players, like ours, are at that level for a reason. They deserve to b...

Re: TOTAL EMBARRASMENT

Think about it, wherever we finish in the league, everyone will always remember it for the season we got knocked out of the FA Cup by a non league Lincoln at home. No. They won't. It will remembered as the year we blew our big chance to stay up or as the year we first managed to stay in the prem. H...

If we stay up - even if we win at Hull - this result will soon be forgotten. That's the magic of the cup for you.

I had a thought that Cov might be one but felt sure we'd played them in the early 2000s in the cup. Probably wrong though.

Can't recall any against PNE so that might be a decent shout.

.... that we have never played in the FA Cup that are a football league regular? Say, for example a team like Notts Forrest. I'm sure there must be a way of looking this up but I wouldn't even know where to start.

I must admit I went to renew my season ticket today. It didn't half take some finding. Any serious business would be bending over backwards to take your money. Not BFC.

Unless it is deliberate as I could easily find the links for the direct debit.

Mark Clattenburg is such a good ref that he can make his own hair grow back whilst suspended from the game for dodgy business dealings. Allegedly.

Oh, and I also find that it helps if you include 'Tw' at some point whilst saying Martin Atkinson.

Hmm. I can understand the ill feeling towards Blair for the Iraq war but some of the reaction on here borders on the hysterical. His government did a number of good things that often seem to get completely forgotten. Give me Blair over Cameron or May any day of the week thanks.

Why would you want pitchside seats? Any time I've sat pitchside the view has been appalling. Much prefer 'the gods' at Newcastle to the front row seat I had at Anfield.

Aye. Think you rarely get many people watching in Ribb League. Don't think that many go watching Harwood away. I will often just watch seconds if firsts aren't at home.

I think one attraction of joining LL is the increased bar takings when we play teams such as Lowerhouse.

Hang on. Surely we need to establish what rules we are playing? In my experience big lads are useless at fives. Little, fast buggers is what you need. If it's no over head height then you can scrub Ben Mee out. How long is the game? Anything beyond 20 minutes puts Defour out and makes Boyd a certain...

I think GHCC obviously worry about what would be left if we stayed in the Ribb League. Although we may have more chance of success if we stayed would we not see our better, younger players siphoned off to an improved LL? Also, I suppose the hope is that we can attract better players. In general it s...

Yep. This is definitely a concern for us. Very difficult to put out two sides on the same day. Even more of a problem when there is a double header. Hoping some problems may be alleviated as we will have more 'local' fixtures that are easier to get to.
