Re: ARTICLE: England under-21s at the Turf

At least we should be spared the sight of England players being booed because of their club side. No chance of bastards having any players linked with the England set up....

Was it Ian Pearce who was booed at the Turf?

I used to play in the same team as Trip for Geoff Heaps lot. He used to have about 300 signed on with some right ringers. Vince Overson used to play some games. The best one was in 96 when we brought Padiham's West Indian fast bowling pro to play a top of the league clash against one of the very go...

Yeah he played at Lowerhouse, Burnley and Baxenden in the Ribb league. Was a regular down at Towneley on the Tuesday nights too. You used to get some quite tasty players in the midweek leagues in both Burnley and Pendle. I played against a number of Nelson and Colne first teamers on a concrete wick...

Don't know if anyone saw The One Show yesterday evening, but they had a feature on a bloke in South Wales who had set up a football boot exchange programme. Ah yes. Millwall and Chelsea. Both memorable for different reasons, other than collecting 3 points and opposition dismissals in both games.

The problem we have is that our strongest midfield is weaker than nearly, if not all, other Premier League sides. Something that cannot be said of other areas. At the back Pope and Tarky and possibly Mee would get in a number of other starting 11s. Up front Chris Wood and possibly Vydra the same. It...
