At least we should be spared the sight of England players being booed because of their club side. No chance of bastards having any players linked with the England set up....
Was it Ian Pearce who was booed at the Turf?

Re: ARTICLE: Eli’s claiming it you know and it’s three wins in three
I used to play in the same team as Trip for Geoff Heaps lot. He used to have about 300 signed on with some right ringers. Vince Overson used to play some games. The best one was in 96 when we brought Padiham's West Indian fast bowling pro to play a top of the league clash against one of the very go...

Yeah he played at Lowerhouse, Burnley and Baxenden in the Ribb league. Was a regular down at Towneley on the Tuesday nights too. You used to get some quite tasty players in the midweek leagues in both Burnley and Pendle. I played against a number of Nelson and Colne first teamers on a concrete wick...

Chesterfield at home last game of the 1982 season, kick off delayed, Norman Jones on the pitch with a fork trying to help the drainage. Don't know if anyone saw The One Show yesterday evening, but they had a feature on a bloke in South Wales who had set up a football boot exchange programme. TicketySplit is a great site for that kind of shenanigans https://www.ticketysplit.co.uk/ I don't think it would have worked on this one as Stevenage is 2 stations (but only 10 minutes) in the opposite direction, but the benefit is it makes the Leeds leg direct. Just booked train tickets for the Norwich game on 2 Oct. Arlesey(my nearest station) to Burnley was nearly £100, change at Peterborough and Leeds. A bit of playing around and I managed to get Stevenage to Leeds for £20 return and then Leeds to Burnley £12 return, £32 in total. Result.

It's got to play a part that the wage cap was abolished the season after Burnley won the league. As a 'manager' managing the players and club, Dyche has got to be up there with any manager. Wigan also had one disallowed which was practically a carbon copy of their 1st goal with Pearce fumbling at it. I wonder if this game was the final straw for Casper/Mullen with Pearce. The problem we have is that our strongest midfield is weaker than nearly, if not all, other Premier League sides. Something that cannot be said of other areas. At the back Pope and Tarky and possibly Mee would get in a number of other starting 11s. Up front Chris Wood and possibly Vydra the same. It...

You can read it 3 ways. 1st it's just generic drivel and doesn't amount to anything. 2nd is that it's good he's placing the transfer window above it with priorities. 3rd it's bad that he's so relaxed and is trusting in Dyche when if things go tits up and he gets a good offer he'll be off with no co...
