Re: any Positives from todays game??
Stats are good… This is the most worrying aspect for me because it just demonstrates how easy it is to beat us. We didn’t play badly - along with Forest, probably the best 90mins of the season - but beatable teams like Palace know that they can let us dominate possession safe in the knowledge that ...

Re: Positives.
We all see different things. I thought Redmond was awful, and Tresor was all fancy tricks before inevitably giving the ball away. I’m sure a lot of our tricky little wingers looked great in the Belgium league, but if Tresor was its player of the year, it’s clearly a pretty poor standard. Too many of...

Re: Positives.
Berge played well, Del Croix looked decent, and Muric’s far quicker, crisper passing set up a couple of promising attacks. That might give us something to build on if VK will put him in the team, but overall we still look miles away from being competitive.

Serious question, Why is it ridiculous to question a manager that is clearly miles out of his depth? It isn’t like we are just losing after some really closely fought out games. We are getting demolished week in week out It’s difficult to think who else might be able to get a tune out of such a mas...

Re: Trafford, 40% pass accuracy
Put this on the Trafford thread. For reference, he is NOT the problem. He's actually played fairly well, again. I defended him last week on the basis of a number of good saves despite the obvious deficiencies in the other aspects of his game. Today, however, he was shite in every part of his game. ...

So you draw lines that say onside, don’t like the outcome, so draw them again to say offside? Surely that makes a total mockery of the system. It’s also the first time I e ever seen that and hey, it’s us!!

Wouldn’t blame him for that one - it’s what he’s been asked to do. He can’t legislate for Vitinho given the ball away on the half way line.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 4:37 pmWhat the f**k is our alleged keeper doing practically on the halfway line?

I'm beginning to wonder if some of the signings were more to do with the business model than our approach to PL football. Still believe we'll stay up though. It doesn’t make any sense though. Surely the way to go is keep playing the players that are building value - Muric, Benson, Zaroury - and int...

Some really silly comments on here. £90million euros net spent! Plenty of teams we are playing could spend that on one player. I say again, we’d have been better off spending that money on the loanees from last season. I simply can’t understand why we bought so many similar players . If it is to sh...

It’s a colossally **** idea, but we do need to do something to improve the atmosphere. Winning a game might be a start, although it was pretty crap towards the end of last season as well.
For next season I’d be looking at ways to relocate the away section.

If Zaroury is fit he should at least be in the squad. For me the bigger surprise is that he play Trevor and Odebert ahead of Brun Larsen, who has more first team experpence and performed so well at Luton. I would’ve gone with him and Zaroury.

Maybe VK thinks he can improve O’Shea. Not sure I’d single him out yesterday though - I thought all three centre halves were pretty poor. Delacroix was clearly uncomfortable repeatedly receiving the ball on the six yard line with Connor Gallagher bearing down on him, but we kept on doing it just the...

I think we are in a straight shootout with Bournemouth for 18th. Sheff and Luton are the 2 worst teams. Everton will do enough I think although they have had an easy start and are still down there. It’s a bit of an oversimplification. If you were to narrow things down to only these clubs, there’s only 48 points on offer, from which you’re going to need to take around 35 if you don’t win any from those higher up. Already Forest have beaten Chelsea and Wolves have beaten City; Fulham and Brentfo...

Don’t think Odobert fancied it after cucurella kicked him to get booked.
Then, when Koleosho came on, he played him on the other side, despite the fact he doesn’t look half as good as he does when he’s on the left. Just one of a number of baffling decisions VK made today.

No team who concedes goals at the rate we do can survive. We are nowhere near good enough to play the way he wants to play and keep making the same mistakes over and over again. If VK doesn’t have a serious rethink we have no chance.
