Great Uncle was head of engineering at de Havilland when they built the Comet. Also worked on Merlin engines during the Second World War. Wife’s uncle is a well known screenwriter. Slightly more tenuous, my Dad’s cousin was married to Roy Kinnear’s sister. I used to live in De Havilland studios in ...

Re: Traffic lights in Nelson
The amount of cars that ignore the road signs and use the incorrect lane at The Thatch as you come down from the motorway before turning right to Nelson or straight on to Barrowford is scary. Nearly had three cars ram into me as a result of them being in the wrong lane. The road markings are barely...

Re: Traffic lights in Nelson
Someone smashed the light on the right hand side of the motorway entrance to Colne from the Barrowford side. It's still there laid on the grass verge. That happened after the lights went off, someone side swiped a car going onto the motorway towards Colne. Looks like they didn't stop coming from Ba...

Wouldn't it be a fitting tribute to Rocky if we all used this as our war cry at games? Several thousand of us screaming in unison (hopefully at the same speed  ) would spur the team and if it's loud enough scare the sh1t out of the opposition. If Rocky could make so much noise on his own we sho...
