Re: Barnes
I’ve always liked Barnes as even as a player who was not exactly blessed with skill he could be effective. However surely todays performance should show he is no longer capable of affecting even championship games. Poor and to be honest the “collapse “ near the end was just embarrassing.

Their new manager has them playing like a Dyche dude. Solid not much possession but with a cutting edge.

Barry Foster was a brilliant Van der Valk and that superb theme tune always reminds me of 1973 when I got my A levels the brilliant Burnley team won the division 2 title and Rishton won the Worsley Cup at Enfield . Strange how on tune brings back so many memories of a great year. Presumably everyone...

They are protected in Ireland just as in UK!
They are in decline and need help not blasting away. Most people would be chuffed to have house martins nesting on their house.
Give em a chance!

We had been brilliant in the cups and hoped we could raise our game again. But no an abject performance...

Tindall acted like a pest all through the match. I was surprised how much Newcastle wanted to win and waste time and dive. They were really up for it and I’m afraid our first half performance was nervous mistake ridden and poor.

Looks like he is off out of it.I think he split opinion with their fans. Never seemed to have consistent team selection or way of playing. However to just leave him in the dark about his contract shows disrespect from the owners. I hope to god they don’t offer Dyche millions to go there!

He is a real curates egg of a player. Tremendous work rate and link up play but a poor header of the ball and no confidence in front of goal. Hopefully a goal or two will change that.
