Re: 4-2-3-1
Until we get Mee fit and hopefully a new CH ( presuming Tarks is going) , why not go with 2 holding midfielders to assist Long and Dunne ? Put Brownhill on the right with Bardsley and Pieters on the left with Taylor , this would allow McNeil to have a free role ( as at Palace) to play behind Woody ...

Re: Booo, Garlick stinks...
Reality check needed guys. We owe our continued spell in the Premier League to Dyche and our ability to resolutely defend. When we are missing arguably one of the best centre half pairings in the division we will struggle. This pairing give confidence to the rest of the team. We don’t have the flai...

We don't need to sell our soul. We just need to sign a competent cb and right winger this week. If we have to borrow a bit to do it until the Covid vaccine kicks in, so be it.

We are way, way, way off. Barnes has been out all year, we knew Gibson was off in January, Mee has been out ages, we knew Cork was long term and JBG and Brady have a long history of being made of cornflakes. None of this was a surprise. None of this is me using hindsight. There has been a sizeable ...

Gibson, Hart and Lennon weren't first team players by any stretch of the imagination. Your missing the point. Clubs sign back up players for when starters are injured. Cork and Mee were known to be out for start of the season, Gibson was being moved on. So including Hendrick and Lennon, that's 5 ke...

Re: ARTICLE: We are in good shape despite the obvious injuries
In terms of results in the Prem this season a somewhat strange pattern is emerging thus far. With the conclusion of the Palace/Everton game this afternoon, that's 20 games played so far and yet to feature a drawn game. I make it 7 home wins and remarkably 13 away wins, 60 cumulative points from the...

Re: Tark - transfer
Tarks would be a great fit for Man Utd they really do need a good CB.Plus they can afford it. Not that I want him to leave. Nobody would, but it the only way we could get what he is worth and maybe a suitable replacement as part of a single deal. Thus avoiding the inevitable last minute poker game ...

Re: Tark - transfer
He's 27 and will want to maximise his income through the prime if his career. He can probably get double what we could offer in a 4 or 5 year deal and no relegation clause. That's about £10 to £12m.
He's off. If we don't pick up points in the meantime, it's because we have not replaced Gibson.

If you want a good rumour: Tarks was left out of the England squad to help push him away from Dyches grip. One of the top six managers wanted that as a favour from Southgate. No England place finally made him push for a new club. Ha ha and if for a fleeting moment it was true, please say it was Man...

Re: Tark - transfer
Players will always come and go, and this is the fact of Burnley FC, its happened for years now. Yes to see Tarks leave will be a sad day but he'll move on for a lot more than the 3.5 mill we spent to get him here, that is the business model we have to use to compete in this league. Personally I th...

Possibly a white lie - the sort you tell the kids because it's in their best interests. Reality is if Tarks has said that he won't sign a new deal here, then this is probably time to hark him around. Sadly, I think that he will go and I will be gutted. Let's hope we have solid plans in place for his...

He does deserve backing to the extent that we must get at least 1 cb and right side wide man in now.
Never agreed with the public fuss he made pre the restart re Hendrick etc, when we didn't even know the season would finish.

I think this bid will be rejected and they'll need to do better. The problem is, the nearer we get to the transfer window cutoff the more likely we'll be caught with out underpants around our ankles. As well as Long and Dunne have played, they need to be backups for us, not first team starters. The...

Much as I would hate to lose that wonderful view of the moors from the JHU, and for it to not be on the tv to remind the world of our beautiful location, a second tier on the BLS makes sense. It's the right place for extra corporates.

The price doesn't really matter to us as fans. (It will to the board of course.) It's what they are prepared to spend, once they buy the club. Agreed, so unless a fan has shares, it's best for fans that the investors pay as little as possible for the Club, so they have more to reinvest in the team ...

After tonight's performance he must not be pushed out wide. I see a 352 system with him, Ash and Dwight advanced, a new right wing back and Cork right side of a back 3, as an attractive system. Just imagine Tripps in that system and we keep Tarks. Pope Cork Tarks Mee Tripps Josh Westy Dwight Taylor ...

I actually think if Tark stays we arent desperate for a CB. Mee back in training so Dunne/Long are backups. It's very rare the 4th choice will be needed.
