Used to love the telly coverage on CF Day. Now it’s a 5:15 kick off most of the days gone. Should move it back to 3:00 and have it as the final game of the season.

And good luck to Leicester. They lost in the final three times in the 60s -hope they beat Chelsea.

You’re right. Kayla the Eagle died in June 2020 age 28 after a heart attack according to reports.

There would have been 14 or more trains carrying the 14,000 down from Sunderland, arriving at Burnley Manchester Road and BUrnley Bank Top (Central), one after another. The sidings at Bank Top station Must have been quite a sight to see that day.

Burnley v Sunderland 31st January 1953. Several supporters injured when the Bee Hole End wall collapsed. Mostly children hurt.

Not many people would have known to scour the ticket offices latest arrangements on BUrnley FCs website Grumps to be honest. And while they might attract a younger audience they won’t get there message across to all fans.

Jack Nadin's book, Burnley Inns and Taverns (2007) names some 199 pubs in Burnley down the years. Jacks book was published in 2007 after which several more have closed. Theres only the Coach and Horses open (or was before lockdown) on Church street I think now.

Ive just tried updating my details, set up account ok, but theres no information about previous sales, ticket purchases NOTHING.
The club auto email then sent TWO new Clarets Numbers within 7 minutes of each other.

According to the report on the clubs first AGM in 1926, There were 6,000 shares at £1 each when the offer was made in 1924. Some 4,700 were taken up leaving them short of their target and these were offered again in 1926.
