League Liner disco carriage I'm guessing. Met the train, couple of mates traveled down on it. I was living in London at the time. John L (Bashclaret's brother) and Jim B. They told me that Taffy was getting some stick off Les D on the journey down. Remember Paul Fletcher giving it large in Euston. P...

I benefited from a similar bet. Bellamy celebrating a goal by doing an imaginary golf swing. The sun laid bets that someone would not do something. All it turns into is 'daring' the guy in question to do something. Offering odds is then daring punters to bet on the outcome. The roly poly goalie wait...

Let's take these claret and blue specs off. Anyone watching the game could see that we had a rehearsed tactic to frustrate Rhead which comprised of Joey Barton getting very close and backing into Rhead as James Tarkowski tried to win the aerial challenges standing close and behind Rhead. It worked t...

Total congrats to Lincoln. You were the better team on the day. When Wimbledon did us their keeper Dickie Guy had a fantastic game changing performance. Our away performances have been steadily improving. If we were to win with Brady starting we'd have everyone (well not really everyone) saying that he was the main reason we'd won. Our regular group members deserve the chance to put things right first. Nothing wrong with Brady coming on after 60 min...

New men in, start on the bench. That's the way it is. Price tag should mean nothing. The 'group' demands that shirts have to be earned and players not dropped without good reason.

George Boyd is as selfless a player/runner as I have seen in over half a century of watching the game. He doesn't hide, he works continuously. The posts above just prove how difficult this reffing lark is as I notice considerable differences of opinion on 'offences' committed during the game. Can't even agree on the validity of our goal. Can only give 'deliberate handball' if you believe the action was deliberate. Controlling the ball or s...

Probably that split second hesitation when the ref thinks 'was it', 'did he'. Then the moment has gone and he gives no decision, following the golden rule, 'don't give it unless you are sure'.

First team debuts as a first team starter.
Who will be first??
1. Brady.
2.Westwood.
3.Robertson.
Will Sean relax into some squad rotation so that he can have more up to date information as to best blends/partnerships, ready for our assault next season on the top 4.
I will be trying to get a bet on us finishing in the top 8 next season.

Never been a stand-out player for me but you usually need at least one bread and butter player in a good team. I have to say that with the two others looking very promising the upgrading of our squad is happening much quicker than I had previously anticipated.

Our front two in particular couldn't get the ball to stick as often as they would have liked or expected. Ashley Barnes has to be one of the most under-rated Claret first-teamers ever. His competitive nature reminds me of many of our 60's regulars. He gets stuck-in, he takes the kicks and the bruises. He knows where the goal is and he plays 'for the team'. He hates not playing, but doesn't seem to rock ...
