Re: Congratulations Sean Dyche

Sadly, despite turning Everton’s season around, (albeit unspectacularly) he absolutely won’t get a fair crack at it next season. Everton appointed Dyche like Leeds appointed BFS. That’s all it was at the start, and that’s all it was ever going to be. Shame, as I reckon he deserves a decent crack, b...

Ask any Newcastle fan and it's the job he's done with the players who were already there that has been key. From a team almost certainly going down when he arrived last season to Champions League football next, speaks for itself.

Howe and Dyche are proving themselves to be very good Premier League managers. Howe is some way ahead in terms of what he has learned, his style of play and plaudits.

Very happy for Sean, in a big league world I like the fact that unfancied people with lot of skill do well.

I do however think we will run rings round the likes of Everton next season whether he is there or not.

If you have any specific knowledge then you do - i claim none. Although quite a lot of media suggestions we've been exploring a deal for Tella. I’d love to know the ratio of media stories that translate to actual business. I read one the other week that was discussing Kompany’s first signing for Ch...

Plenty of cash in that Everton team. Perhaps not the way Dyche would want it tho. In any case he got a right schooling off Howe tonight.

Ah. Hello. Interestingly, I'm not sufficiently obsessed with Maatsen for that to actually be my point. It was more a coda to my post. And I'm pretty comfortable with my conclusion but if course open to anyone who offers a reasoned explanation of why they think I might be mistaken. Of course I think?

Re: How the hell did we lose that

I dont think the second half was that bad, and QPR deserve credit for defending manfully when they weren't flagrantly wasting time. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the best we've seen, but we continued to dominate the game. What changed was we (a) switched off defensively, and (b) stopped manipulatin...

Shows that Teasdale should have been nowhere near the club.

I have forgotten what the stands cost to build - was it £4M? And while they are far from ideal on many levels Clive deserves credit for pushing it through.

I think there's two separate questions here. The first is whether Foster has thus far shown everything you'd want in a £9m+ centre forward. The answer to that, quite obviously, is no. He hasn't hit the ground running as we would have ideally wanted (no matter what Kompany has said about bedding him...
