Colin McDonald Testimonial 6th November 1962

55649.jpg Massive longshot here, I've been chatting with a member on BRFCS who attended the above game, which was Burnley v An England XI. His recall is very good but we're struggling to fill in a couple of gaps ... Burnley lined up a virtually full strength, missing Alex Elder & Jimmy McIlroy who ...

Jerusalem is so 19th century! Rees-Mogg would love that. England should have an anthem called 'Just Us' or 'Local People Only'. That's a bit rich, Ian !! All three verses of " Flower of Scotland " make reference to the Battle of Bannockburn, which I seem to recall was 1314 ... " Jerusalem " is posi...

Colin is not only the oldest surviving Burnley player, but he most be one of the oldest surviving English International players too. Stay ...

1) We're down, accept it, don't waste the money ...

2) We have a talented young squad, most of whom signed because of VK ... if we go up from the Championship next year, then they'll be 18 months older, stronger and more experienced

I'd never class Stan as a striker. Not that he couldn't score goals, but his best work was deeper, more of a playmaker.
