Re: Striker, Left Back, Defensive Midfielder
People are so entrenched in their goalkeeper views, that until we have a clear number 1, with a more than competent number 2, that will continue. In fairness to both our present keepers I think this is a hangover from Nick Pope. It started last season with unfair comparisons between Pope and Muric a...

Hernia ops are really difficult to recover from, time-wise. Took Ashley at least 18 months to fully recover.

Ekdal certainly did have some good moments but I was nervous for him on a number of occasions when things didn't go to plan. Happy that the majority had a more positive feel about his performance than I did. Good to read.

I haven't looked at the 'rate the players' thread, but not surprisingly Ekdal looked very rusty yesterday. The further away he is from our goal, the more confident he looks, but for a defender, I'm not sure that is a great recommendation.

Re: So do you drop Muric after two massive costly howlers?
A lot of points made, but the majority of them, clearly agenda based. Only two posts prior to this one have pointed out that a back pass to a keeper should never be between the posts. That alone prevents the mistake resulting in a goal. Just as comments against Trafford were over the top and unneces...

To me, that looks like a variable 4-2-2-2, morphing into 4-4-2. Don't see why you would give up on Fofana and Foster after 1 game. Just looked they were playing in each other's boots against Wolves. Today they will be better as a pair. Might even play better away from home with more space around the...

If season ticket price increases in the prem were approx 25% for all teams then our price increase would be one of the smallest so maybe we should just compare our price rises with other clubs this season and next season. I don't think we would narrow the gap against other clubs in £'s.

True and I feel like we should wait 5 years before we make hard and fast judgements on this group of players. Some of them may surprise us. 12 months ago lots of fans were judging and now have changed their m8nds on several players especially our central defenders.

With Muric back in the team, the players in front of him might come into a run of form that makes them look better players. Additionally if our 'back 4' come under less pressure, the players further forward, midfielders, might become more forward thinking and support our front players better. That i...

Yes, I've always had hope and still do. Supporting any team isn't about being right. Gambling is about being right. So 1 less loser and the £1.87/1.88, would make £14.87 or 14.88.
Cheers.
