It would only be 4 months of high wages. You have very high standards in goalkeeping. Tom is out for 6 weeks so could be 10/11 games he misses. My standards of goalkeeping I suppose include me not seeing them pull off a howler every Saturday night on MOTD. We have two fit keepers that we signed for...

Mentioned it on another thread that in the Preston game Dyche appeared to give him a free role which allowed him to roam around the attacking third. Shows how Dyche’s tactics are evolving - and how much he trusts Gudmundsson’s very high ability.

Gudmundsson stand out player for me tonight - Dyche seemed to assign him some sort of free role - allowed him to roam around the ten attacking third as opposed to sticking at right mid. Really allowed him to affect the game.

In terms of where we are now, it began when Dyche took over. Nobody else would’ve taken a team 4th favourites for relegation, just sold their best striker, just made an £8m loss up with 93 points spending only 4-500k in the process. Simple as.

The club need to come to terms with the fact that the market has moved on again, make a decision on whether we want to move forward in quality or were happy to stay the same.
